Here is a summary of the current situation:

CN/HK Origin – Effective May 2, 2025:

• USD 800 De Minimis Exemption Abolished: All goods will be subject to a 34% duty rate; additional tariffs may apply.
• Commercial Shipments: Goods valued below USD 800 will be subject to a 145% duty rate as of time of update 12 April 2025. We are seeking clarification on any additional duty rates that may apply.

All U.S. Imports – Effective April 5, 2025 - still current as of 12 April 2025:

• 10% Duty Rate: All goods will be subject to a 10% duty rate; we are seeking clarification on whether the de minimis exemption will apply, as this is not mentioned in the order.
• Country-Specific Duties: Additional duties may apply, effective April 9, 2025.

• Free shipping for all orders over $250 AUD via Auspost Standard
• Flat rate $12 for all orders under $250 via Auspost Standard
• Express shipping option for flat rate $15.00 via Auspost Express

Australian Post's regular and express services offer tracking with no signature on delivery.

• Free shipping to New Zealand for orders over $300 AUD
• Express international shipping via DHL courier or Auspost Express (rural regions)
• Signature on delivery - please ensure you select an address where this can be signed for during business hours

USA

• Flat rate charge of $40 AUD for orders under $500 AUD
• Free international shipping for orders over $500 AUD
• International shipping via Auspost Pack & Track Service
• No signature on delivery
• 7 - 10 business days for delivery to most metro areas. 7 - 14 business days outside of metro areas depending on region

 

Canada

• Flat rate charge of $60 AUD for orders under $500 AUD
• Free international shipping for orders over $500 AUD
• International shipping via Auspost Pack & Track Service
• No signature on delivery
• 7 - 10 business days for delivery to most metro areas. 7 - 14 business days outside of metro areas depending on region

All customers are responsible for any local Customs duties or taxes placed on international orders. Salt Gypsy must declare full monetary value on all international shipments and we recommend checking with your local postal or Customs authority prior to purchase for further information.

*Note - Update to all USA orders Due to increased tariffs on imports into the USA, all US based Customers will incur tariff charges on all online orders. For our Australian-made garments, this will be a minimum of a 10% tariff. For our Chinese-made garments, this will be a minimum of a 34% tariff.
